Thrilling matches, high emotions and great moments in and out of the court – that were the Women’s and U21 Men’s UNIF Futnet World Championships that took place last weekend in Slovakia.
The best country of the World Championships was the Czech Republic, scooping five out of six golds. Hungarian Boglárka Lepsényi was declared the best player among women winning the world title in single, silver in triples and bronze in doubles. Among U21 men it was Zdenek Kalous from the Czech Republic with two golds from doubles and triples.
Congratulations to all the winners and a very big thanks to the members of the Slovak Futnet Association, in particular its President Gabriel Viňanský, who had worked hard longs months before the event so that the participants as well as the spectators could enjoy three days full of great futnet entertainment.
Also thanks to all those who made their way to Michalovce and gave us the joy of seeing that our work bears fruit and our international futnet family is growing. We appreciate all your efforts and we are always happy to see not only your progress, but also the atmosphere of fair play and friendship that is present in futnet competitions. And those of you for whom it was their first or second international appearance, we know that the beginnings are never easy, but your courage and determination were highly appreciated.
Thank you, Michalovce, and we are looking forward to seeing you all at future international events!
