US Futnet Open in Santa Monica

On 3 and 4 May, the US Futnet Open was held in Santa Monica, California, and we have received the following report and pictures from US Futnet Association.

The tournament was played on grass with three futnet courts. The competition brought together teams from all around the US. Teams from Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Diego and other places in the US came to compete. The games and matches were very competitive to all participants; no game came as an easy win to either side.

The games attracted spectators who were eager to understand the game and get involved. Lukas Kafka and Lukas Hanc went on to win both the doubles and triples finals (with Nick Marmaliuc and Martin Bohaty) taking gold back to San Diego.

We would like to thank Gabriel Marinescu for organizing the successful US tournament and making it happen in Santa Monica. We look forward to the next tournament and expect to have more and more participants each time.
