Futnet makes it to Iraq

We are always very pleased about contacts with new countries that are discovering futnet and would like to promote it also in an official way. One of such countries in recent months is Iraq.

There has been an active correspondence with their representatives, Iraq Futnet Association has been established and their General Secretary Asad Ali Atie has made two visits to the Czech Republic to meet the officials of UNIF and of the Czech Futnet Association. Most recently he attended UNIF Club World Cup in Karlovy Vary on 10 June where met with UNIF President Kamil Klenik (first picture) and discussed further development of futnet in Iraq. Before he also met a member of Czech Futnet Association Jiri Doubrava (second picture).

Iraq Futnet Association have an observer status within Union Internationale de Futnet (UNIF) and have initiated the necessary proceedings to become a Full Member of UNIF.
We are very pleased with their activities and wish them all the best in their work of promoting and spreading futnet in Iraq.

We have the pleasure to confirm that Iraq Futnet Association have sent an application to participate at UNIF Futnet World Championships 2017 for Women and U21 Men that will be held on 17 to 19 November in Nymburk, Czech Republic.

Iraq Futnet Association has also shown an interest to take part in coaching and refereeing courses that might be held in the Czech Republic or Turkey in the second half of 2017. The exact date and place will be confirmed as soon as possible. The courses will be taught by UNIF instructors.

Taking part in these courses is an essential part of Iraq’s preparation for their Full Membership in UNIF as well as their participation at UNIF Futnet World Championships 2017 for Women and U21 Men that will take place on 17-19 November 2017 in the Czech Republic.
